AR organises free medical camp

Imphal, July 14 2011:
A free medical camp was organized today at Veitumkhulen village by 10 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Loktak Brigade of Red Shield Division for the villagers of eighteen villages of Senapati district.
Approximately 650 local patients including old, adults, children & newborn were given free consultation and medical care.
Majority of the patients were found suffering from gastritis, stomach worms, skin and respiratory tract infections and gynaecological infections during the camp conducted by the medical officer of 10 Assam Rifles Captain Naveen on health & hygiene aspects for the benefit of the locals.
Village chiefs of Senapati district thanked 10 AR for organizing the medical camp for the locals and requested for such more camps in times to come as it will establish a rapport between Assam Rifles and the local population.
Transportation was provided to people from far flung villages.
