'No peace and harmony without justice'

Imphal, July 14 2011:
The United Committee Manipur (UCM) Torbung area unit today organised a One Day Open Discussion on "The Preservation of Peace and Harmony in the adjoining areas of Bishnupur and Churachandpur districts" at Torbung Community Hall.
Chairman of MANIDCO MLA N Mangi and President, UCM Yumnamcha Dilipkumar graced the function as chief guest and president respectively.
MLA T Manga Vaiphei, Member, Nangkhalawai Zilla Parishad N Sanahanbi and Pradhan, Torbung Gram Panchayat Ch Sanahanbi also attended the function as guest of honour and special guests.
Retired Colonel RK Rajendra former member of Manipur Human Rights Commission, Editor Freedom, RK Ranendrajit former advisor of UCM, Secretary External Affair UCM Ima Nganbi Leima and President Kuki Women Organisation Manipur Rose Mangsi Haokip attended the discussion programme as resource persons.

Speaking on the occasion, RK Ranendrajit said that justice is essential to bring about peace and harmony and without justice there will be no peace and harmony in a society.
Democracy will become meaningless if there is no peace and right to life.
Corrupt and selfish government can never bring peace and harmony in a state or nation.
