Reconciliation between Sengvai Tuisorok Aimol Kamsakoi Khompui and Kangoi Khunou

As agreed on May 8 to bring about a reconciliation between the people of Sengvai Tuisorok Aimol Kamsakoi Khompui (STAKK) and Kangoi Khunou, a four point declaration/agreement was reached today under the aegis of the Pallel Area Goodwill Mission Team today.
The reconciliation talk centred around three points, namely free movement of villagers between the party, cease the use of weapons and violent acts from both sides and not loiter in the disputed area with arms and stop inviting any form of physical assault and harassment between the party and desist from physical and moral assassination.
After minutely discussing the points, it was agreed that a nine member Joint Working Committee on Natonchao Keiremlok Area be formed in respect of the land dispute between STAKK and Kangoi Khunou villagers.
Rev Halpu Yulhin, secretary of the CDCF has been appointed as the convenor of the JWC.
It was also agreed that both the parties shall entrust the JWC to take the matter to the higher authorities for an amicable and lasting solution and that both parties shall maintain peace and harmony in the area according to the points laid down on May 8.The agreement was adopted and signed along with the representatives and presidents of MUA and ATUM.
