Imphal, May 14 2012:
The health security benefits which are being provided to government employees in the form of re-imbursement of cost of treatment should also be made available to all the people of the state, as it is prevalent in other developed countries, said Prof H Nandakumar Sharma, VC, MU.
Prof H Nandakumar Sharma was speaking on the occasion of the one day state level workshop on 'Elderly Women's Livelihood Approach Income Generation Present Scenario in Manipur' jointly organized by Manipur University Working Women's Association and Alzheimer's and Related Disorders Society of India, Manipur Chapter at the New Hall of the Administrative Block, MU.
The function was sponsored by Department of Social Welfare, Government of Manipur.

The government of India has come up with a law to give befitting punishment to those who torture their old parents.
In Manipur too, the Act should be passed and implemented.
