A reliable press source, disclosed the efforts are being made for appointment of a Senior Research Fellow and a Junior Research Fellow on contract basis in the Unit in violation of the laid down guidelines under Technology Mission.
As per the guidelines, the required staff for running the Floriculture Unit should be appointed from among, the employees, of Horticulture Department who have experience and undergone the necessary training .
In such a.condition, appointment of two inexperienced persons and that too from unrelated department would be wrong, the source maintained.
A member of the Managing Committee set up to monitor implementation of schemes under Technology Mission in the State, however, denied any plan for appointment of staff at the unit as of now.
The ban imposed on recruitment in Govt services is also still in effect, he noted.
