Even though the insurgency related killings grow rapidly in the hill areas or Manipur and also in Nagaland, the Christian dominated tribals of this hill-lock dwellers prepare for the Christmas.
Though many people particularly from Manipur's Churachandpur and Tamenglong districts are still in the state of fear psychosis due to numerous killings, and also in various parts of Nagaland there have been also people who have been caught with the fever of Christmas festive mood.
The people of Tamenglong had just witness the worst ever factional killings this month when NSCN-K cadres and NSCN-IM exchanged gunfires in the Tousem subdivision of the district.
More than one thousand villagers had to flee their homesteads prompted by the factional clashes.
Several underground cadies belonging to both the groups had also been reportedly killed in the clashes.
The people of Churuchandpur are not indifferent to killings.
Now and then there has been reports of the spurt of underground related killings in the district throughout the year.
The numerous towns in Nagaland too wears festive look although the killings continue to prevail unabated.
People have been fed up of hearing the killing news and at last the Christmas is here but these killings have been the hiccup to the festive mood to the majority of the people Nagaland has been witnessing factional killings of the three Naga outfits although leading Naga NGOs appealed unceasingly to the outfits.
It�s the near and dear ones of those people died who will definitely miss their love ones in this festive season.

Nagas flocking to meeting IM leaders (Dimapur): Nagas from Mam pur continue to flock into Dimapur seeking appointments to meet NSCN-IM general secretary Th Muivah and chairman Isak Chisi Swu on the eve of Christmas.
Thousands of appointment seekers to meet the collective leadership of the NSCN-IM are now on the beeline.
Reports said that there had been Nagas from Myanmar (Burma) too who came seeking appointments for the meeting with the NSCN-IM leaders.
Reports also said that many would set chance to meet the NSCN-IM leaders after New Year.
The two collective leadership of the NSCN-IM are expected to be in Dimapur till the middle of January, next after which they will be head back to New Delhi for resumption of talks on the Naga issue.
Th Muivah and Isak Chisi Swu will concretize the views and opinions of the Naga NGOs and intellectuals and present it to the Central leaders in New Delhi next month.
The consulting session is in full swing with top Naga NGOs including United Naga Council leaders and the Naga Hoho members now in Dimapur chalking out various important issues related to the ongoing Naga peace process.
Meanwhile, NSCN-IM Chairman Isak Chisi Swu had apologised on behalf of the NSCN-IM with regard to the Dec 16 incident where an NNC leader was killed by the NSCN-IM cadres in Kohima.
