The inaugural function of the three day long workshop on "Conservation of brick architecture with special reference to the architecture of eastern States" was held at Kangla with Arts and Culture Minister as the chief guest.
Speaking at the function, Minister Parijat informed that the State Govt is making all necessary efforts to restore the depilated structures of the historical temples and buildings located inside the Kangla complex and further said that a sum of Rs three crores have been earmarked by the Govt for the development of Kangla for the year 2005.Moreover the Tourism Dept has also making efforts to take several policies and programmes for the development of Kangla into a historical tourism site, he added.
Stating that it is very inspiring and a privileged to hold such a workshop in a sacred place like Kangla, Parijat said that the people of the State and archeologist/experts in particular would greatly benefit from the development of historical structures inside Kangla.
