Lions Club of Imphal in collaboration with Kangmong Langonjam Youths� Guidance Club and CDRADP, Konthoujam conducted a free rural multi-disciplinary health camp at Kangmong High School yesterday.
Around 900 patients were examined and provided free medicines to them.
A team of 26 doctors, 10 Paramedical staffs, 10 medical representatives and 6 volunteers from JN Hospital, Porompat; Kangleipak Medical and Paramedical Nursing Institute, Chingarel; Medical and Sales Representative Association, Manipur and Lions Club conducted the camp.
Specialities covered during the camp include Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedic, Eye, ENT, Dermatology, Paediatrics, Dental Surgery, Gynaecology, Mental Health, etc.
Facility for diabetes detection by examination of blood samples and neuropathy screening (nerve function test) was also provided through the curtsey of Nicolas Piramal, Extra Care, Kolkata during the camp.
Free medi-care: Youth Voluntary Organisation, Thongju Part-II would be organising a one-day free medical camp on April 27 from 10 am to 4 pm at Thongju Girls�� Primary School, Konok Khongnangmakhong.
