Imphal, November 02:
Claiming responsibility for the grenade attacks at the residences of Social Welfare Minister Nameirakpam Loken and Director of the same Department Achom Nabachandra, the proscribed KCP (MC) accused both the Minister and Director for involvement in various irregularities and corrupt practices in the Department in a major scale.
A press release issued by secretary KCP (MC) Military Affairs Lanheiba Meitei asserted that the unwanted attacks were compelled by the obstinacy of the Minister and Director to confess their faults and to mend their ways accordingly.
They were given enough time to mend their ways earlier, Lanheiba said.
The outfit asserted that examination conducted for recruitment of some employees in the Social Department was marred by fraud not only in the results but from the time of issuing admit cards.
Warning that all those involved in discrepancies, corruption and bribery will be punished without any condition, the outfit remarked that any group making negative comments by criticising the campaign to clean up the society as anti-revolutionary is really unfortunate for the people.
"Is involving oneself in corrupt practices and dirty politics of a society and forfeiting the rights to live of the people justified for a revolutionary", countered KCP (MC).
The educated people are well aware of the difference between revolutionary and anti-revolutionary and about "The People's Principles", Lanheiba noted while asking all concerned not to make futile attempts to mislead the people.
He also called upon all to turn their attention to a "New Democratic Revolution".
All the existing comrades of the KCP (MC) were groomed by its founders Pajihal Ibopishak and Pajiyaima Ibohanbi, Lanheiba said while clarifying that people need not confuse themselves by the outfit's name.
Observing that it is natural to face oppositions while pursuing true and justified causes, the outfit reiterated that it would never retrace its stance because of some obstacles.
The KCP (MC) also condemned the act trampling upon the rights of common people.
