Mother, daughter found dead

A pregnant woman was found hung to death inside her room and her 10 months old daughter was also found dead beside her in a suspicious manner at Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai today.
According to information culled from the spot, Seram (N) Elangbam (O) Sushila alias Ibecha (33) was found hung to death inside her room and her 10 months old daughter was also found dead on the bed.
Sushila alias Ibecha was three months pregnant and she was teaching in a private school.
Her husband Dhiren (50) is also a teacher and he works at Little Master English Higher Secondary School, Samurou.
He found both his wife and daughter dead when he returned home from school.
Sushila is the second wife of Dhiren.
The first wife Bidyaluxmi has no issue.
The two wives were living together in the same house.
They moved into the present house from another house of the same locality about five years back.
A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory inspected the room before the bodies of the mother and the daughter were picked up and deposited at RIMS mortuary by police.
In the meantime, a group of people from Sushila's paternal home of Sagolband Tera tried to storm Dhiren's home at Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai but there has been no report of any untoward activity so far.
According to some close relatives of Sushila, she was teaching at Promising Kids' School, Academy.
She did not attend school today.
She also disclosed that she was being harassed by some people through mobile phone.
Dhiren and Bidyaluxmi fled away from the scene but the couple later surrendered themselves at Imphal police station.
After registering a case at Imphal police station, police have started due process of investigation.
