National Doctors' Day observed

The Indian Medical Assocaition, Manipur State Branch has today oraganised the observance of National Doctors' Day at the auditorium of the IMA located at Lamphelpat.
The chief guest of the function Prof Dr Y Mohen Singh who is the president of the Indian Red Cross Society Manipur Chapter said that the doctor as a profession is very important in the society.
He stressed the need for cooperation among themselves so as to render medical services in the interest of the masses and further said that the National Doctors' Day will enhance the ethics of medical profession.
The president of IMA Manipur Dr Dhabali Singh, retired Prof and HOD Dept of Pediatrics RIMS and chairperson of Manipur State Commission for Women Dr L Ibetombi Devi and retired Prof and HOD Dept of Orthopaedics RIMS and JNIMS Dr K Deben Singh attended the observance of the National Doctors' Day.
As part of the observance, IMA Manipur in association with JNIMS has organised a Blood Donation Camp at JNIMS hospital during 10 am to 1:30 pm in which 74 individuals have donated their blood in the interest of the people of the State.
