Imphal, July 01 2014:
Senapati District Hospital has started running OPD service at its new building from today.
It may be mentioned that the then Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram inaugurated the new building of the 50-bedded hospital three years back.
However, the hospital could not be shifted to its new building at that time due to non-completion of construction works.
As people started complaining about the matter, the Governor inspected the hospital some time back.
Later, the District Administration put in extra effort in this regard which ultimately led to opening of OPD service at the new building though Wards are yet to be shifted.
