Edibles, protective kits distributed to scribes, police, C-zones

Imphal, July 31 2021:
In a bid to prevent spread of the infectious Covid-19, Committee on Covid-19 as a part of its mass awareness programme distributed AYUSH-64 tablets, face masks and hand sanitizers to Community Home Isolation Centres (CHIC), local Covid Task Forces, local clubs and meira paibi groups in Imphal West, Imphal East, Kakching and Chandel districts on Saturday.
The committee along with directorate of AYUSH distributed the said items to Luwangsangbam Awang Leikai Meira Paibi, Liberal College Covid Care Centre, Naharol Yaipha Lamjing Club Matai, Brighter Club Awang Potsangbam Khullen, Awang Wabagai Covid Task Force, Tingri Development Club, Awang Leikinthabi Modern Youth Association and Awang Sekmai Protection Committee in Imphal West; Covid Task Force Elangkhangpokpi, The Youth Guide Club Lengmeidong Maning, Yangdong Task Force, Thounaojam Covid Task Force and Wabagai Kadajit Youth's Welfare Associated Club in Kakching; Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Chandel; and Keibi Taret Khul, Keibi Ku-muda and Lamboikhul task forces in Imphal East.
Meanwhile, AMUCO and Youth's Foundation for Fitness and Service (YOFFS) distributed medicines including Aconite 30, Arsenic alb.30 and AYUSH64 to 2700 people at Nambol Sabal Leikai Youth Club and Library, Educational Cultural and Health Organisation (ECHO) Bishnupur, Merina Spring Water factory, Bishnupur and All India Youth Federation Bishnupur District Council.
AMUCO along with Imphal West District United Clubs' Organisation (IWDUCO) and Singjamei to Lilong United Clubs' Organisation (SLUCO) also distributed medicines provided by state AYUSH department to Covid-19 Control Committee set up at Standard Robarth school, ADC Club, LSWC Club, SWFD, LCDC Club Chajing Mamang Leikai, UPWA Club Langthabal Kunja Awang Leikai and to the people of Langthabal, Kakwa Asem Leikai, Kakwa Lamdaibung, Thongju Pheijatleitong.
People's Task Force Covid-19 Manipur also distributed face masks, hand sanitizers and AYUSH medicines to scribes of the state.
Similarly, political activist Thangjam Arunkumar provided N-95 masks, hand sanitizers and hand wash solution to the office of The People's Chronicle and Poknapham dailies while Sekmai MLA H Dingo distributed ration items to 138 households of Phayeng Ching Khunou that have been notified as micro containment zones and to 400 households of Phayeng, Phumlou, Phumlou Siphai, Sanjenbam, Haorang Keithel, Kadangband, Loitang Leikanthabi, Lairenkabi and Awang Sekmai that have been declared as containment zones.
So far, the MLA has provided ration items to 4,500 households of the constituency that have been declared as virus zones.
Meanwhile, Manipur Handloom and Handicraft Development Corporation chairman Sagolsem Achouba distributed edibles to vulnerable families and widows in Wangoi A/C.He further extended monetary aid to 15 people who are above 60 years of age and to 17 widows.
On the other hand, Eteen Computerised Eye Testing and Eye Care Centre, Thoubal handed over face masks, hand sanitizers and face shields to Churachandpur district SP Shivanand and also distributed face masks, hand sanitizera and snacks to police and traffic police personnel deployed for duty at Naransena Bazar, Loktak Project gate and Maibam Lotpa Ching.
Social worker Wahengbam Dineshchandra distributed Covid protective items to police personnel.
He handed over face masks, hand sanitizers, PPE kits, sodium hypochlorite and hand gloves to Patsoi Police Station.
Last week, Dineshchandra also provided Covid protective items to Imphal Police Station, SDO Porompat Pooja Elangbam for AYUSH hospital located at Keirao, and CCC set up at Standard College, Kongba.
On the other hand, political activist Khuraijam Ratankumar distributed ration items to the people of Haotal, Khurai A/C.He has provided ration items to more than 700 households of the constituency till date.
