All declared pass in HSLCE-2021

Education minister Sorokhaibam Rajen Singh on Saturday announced the results of High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLCE) 2021 on the basis of assessment of marks by the schools concerned.
The annual examination normally conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BSEM) had to be cancelled for this year owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Declaring the class 10 exam result at the Conference Hall of BSEM, Rajen informed that the total number of candidates whose assessment reports were received by BSEM from different private and government schools was 47,208 .
All the registered candidates passed the examination, recording a 100 per cent pass percentage this year.
Rajen said that the declaration of the HSLC Exam 2021 was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and after the postponement of the exam it had been notified as cancelled.
The education minister further said that the marking modalities were framed after minute discussion and consultation with resource persons and education experts.
Committees and sub-committees were also constituted for assessment of marks.
If any student or guardian is not satisfied with the marking assessment system, they can apply for appearing in the exam physically, he added.
Rajen maintained that education is the backbone of the society and educating the children is as important as building a good nation.
He added that the role of the teachers and education department officials is highly challenging and asked the teachers to work sincerely and dedicatedly.
It may be mentioned here that no ranking was announced this year.
The results were prepared on the basis of 20 marks from class X internal assessment conducted by the schools concerned, 30 marks from Class IX exam and 50 from Class X term exams.

BOSEM chairman A Joykumar Singh, higher & technical education commissioner M Harekrishna, education (s) director L Nandakumar and BSEM secretary Dr S Mangijao Singh attended the event as president and guests of honour respectively.
Controller of examinations, officials and staff of BSEM were also present on the occasion.
