Question paper leak propaganda...False report, says COHSEM

The
reported rumour that question
paper of Chemistry for the
ongoing higher secondary
examination was leaked in
social networking sites was
false, stated COHSEM
Secretary Dr Maisnam
Bidyasagar.
Briefing mediapersons at
Babupara, Dr Maisnam
Bidyasagar clarified that some
unknown miscreants circu-
lated the question paper of
Chemistry today through
WhatsApp Messenger and
created anxiety among the stu-
dents.
Such incident is a matter
of deep concern for
COHSEM, he added.
"Intention of the defaulters
is not yet known but
COHSEM has requested the
SP of Cyber Crime Unit to
track down the culprits", he
said.
Extensive support from the
State Government, police, and
administrators in various as-
pects has made the yearly
examination a fair examina-
tion till today.
COHSEM has
instituted various flying
squads, micro-observers to
take active role in conducting
the examination in a free and fair manner in order to bring out bright students for the
welfare of the State, he added.
Meanwhile, three students of Biramangol College,
Sawombung were caught using unfair means today and have
been expelled from the examination, Bidyasagar added.
He further stated that a Grade-IV was stripped off from
examination duty by COHSEM after he was found carrying
photostat copy of answer sheets at the joint examination centre
of Thoubal Waikhom Mani Girls' College and Fancier
Abhiram Higher Secondary School.
