The problem of non availability of petrol and diesel due to the fortnight long economic blockade lingers.
Though, the economic blockade has been called off from midnight today, the shortage of petrol and diesel at the oil depot will remain some more days, sources said.
Reports received from the office of Indian Oil Corporation located on BT road said that petrol will be openly sold as usual at seven oil pumps.
Petrol and diesel had already been acquired by the seven oil pumps this evening.
The oil pumps which had already taken petrol from the depot are Highway Petroleum Agency, Tera bazar (taken 10 kilo litres), Lamshang Oil Service, Lamshang (four kilo litres), Friendly Enterprises, Khabeishoi (Four KL), Heirangoithong Service Station, Heirangoithong (4 KL), Imphal Oil Agency, Chingmeirong (4 KL), PG Petroleum Agency, Chingmeirong (4KL) and Tiddim Service Station, Sega road (8 KL).
Meanwhile, diesel will be given to 23 oil pumps under the IOC, the source said.
The pumps are D Gaidingngam Service Station, Noney, Highway Petroleum Agency, Tera bazar, Indo-Myanmar Oil Centre, Wangjing, JAS Gas Station, Uripok, K Nilo Singh, Langjing, Krishnapremi Oil City, Moirangkhom, S Mani Filling Centre, Bhauliwal Bakliwal & Co, Sangaiprou, Bitej Gasoline Centre, Bishnupur, Heirangoithong Serivice Centre, Heirangoithong, Imphal Oil Agency, Chingmeirong, KV Services, Hundung, Khurai Service Station, Khurai, KSK Koirengei, Leikinthabi, LNC & Sons Filling Station, Sekmai, Yummnam Oil Service, Wabagai, Motor Service Centre, Moirang, Nambol Service Centre, Nambol, PG Petroleum Agency, Chingmeirong, Porompat Service Centre, Porompat, Sheiza Automobiles, Ukhrul, Tiddim Service Centre, Sega road and Tugs & Bonds Filling station.
