Neiphiu Rio meeting with Prakash Javadekar

Chief Minister Nagaland Neiphiu Rio along with Temjen Imna Along, Minister for Higher Education & Technical Education and State BJP President called on the Union Minister for Human Resource Development Prakash Javadekar at his residence at New Delhi on Wednesday.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister congratulated and thanked the Union Minister for considering the Professional Engineering College in Nagaland State for the first time in the history of the State.
The Chief Minister also appraised the Union Minister on the issue of difficulties in implementing the National Flagship programmes ie.
the SSA and the RMSA under the School Education Department.

The gap between the overall approved estimated outlay of the Project Approval Board (PAB) and the fund committed for release by the Government of India which is short by Rs.194.00 crores for the year 2018-19 and Rs.179 crores for the year 2017-18 was also highlighted.
The issue pertaining to 1379 CSS Hindi Teachers recruited during the 12th Five Year Plan period which ended during 31st March 2017 was also discussed.
The other issue discussed was for maintenance of status quo in the funding of the Teachers' salary for the CSS teachers of the SSA and RMSA programs which is causing imbalances in the State's finances.
Minister Along also appreciated the Union Minister for his serious concern for Nagaland in particular and northeast states in general.
