The interior Singngat subdivision here is all set to have a completely revamped highway and see the light of development, if the assurances given by its newly elected MLA T Hangkhanpau is anything to go by, reports our correspondent.
Visiting his constituency for the first time after obtaining the peoples' consent in the recently concluded Assembly election, the representative in a bid to honour his electoral promises, assured that that the Tiddim Road stretch between Singngat and Lamka will be restored before monsoon.
To improve the pitiable road condition that also connects the State with the neighbouring State of Mizoram besides serving as a lifeline of the hill tribes Rs 27 crores has already been set aside, he said amidst the applause of his supporters at Singngat Community Hall.
To the thousands of people that gather to celebrate his victory, Hangkhanpau also promise not to leave anything untouched in order to realise the five points he has manifested during the election.
