TAPASYA observes 20th foundation day

Labour & Employment Minister Th Satyabrata Singh expressed that he really appreciates the relentless efforts put in by the Tapasya centre of Performing Arts to promote the culture of Manipur.
During 20 years of its journey, the centre must have faced lots of struggles and obstacles in their pursuit to take the state on the road towards development.
He was speaking as chief guest at the One Day Cultural Festival that was held in connection with the 20th Foundation Day Celebration of TAPASYA at JN Manipur Dance Academy auditorium, Imphal today.
Director (PAL) and MSKA Awardee, N Tiken Singh and Padmashree Awardee S Thanil Singh also graced the function as guest of honour and president respectively.
Minister Th Satyabrata Singh stated that the Government empathises with the issues and bottlenecks that pose hindrance to the activities of the artists from proper functioning.
We will try to sort the matter out after discussion on a separate platform later and fill the loopholes, he assured.

He also stated that the Government is elected by the people and stands for the welfare of the people.
He appealed the public to guide the Government to work in their interests so that their grievances will be addressed satisfactorily.
The Government is open to listen to the demands and problems of the people and find amicable solutions to obstacles encountered by them, he added.
The Minister also appealed to the organisers that such an important festival organised by the Tapasya centre of performing arts in connection with 20 years of its foundation day should not be limited to only one day as it would be too short.
It will be better if the festival is extended for a few more days as this would suffice the motive behind the festival better, he stressed.
Ariba Pala by Tapasya(1 month workshop cum production), Guru Bandana by National Awardee Okram Jelen Singh, Taal Prabhanda by Liyanda Folk and Classical Academy, Nagamapal and Taal Gee Ethak Epom by Government Dance College were some of the cultural programmes of the festival.
