Imphal, July 12 2014 :
An 18-year-old Manipuri girl, who works as a family helper in the house of a Manipuri couple in Delhi, has been mysteriously missing since June 21 .
Sarangthem Monika d/o Sarangthem Inao of Langol Ningthou Leikai, has been working in the house of Loitongbam Imo (40) and Loitongbam Ongbi Manju since August 2013 .
Speaking at a press conference held at Manipur Press Club, Imo's elder brother Loitongbam Dorendro of Kwakeithel Thiyam Leikai, said that the couple found the girl missing from their house located at Jasola Vihar Pocket No 12, Delhi when they returned home at around 9.30 pm on June 21 .
Dorendro said that the couple surprisingly found their house locked from outside when they came back home that night.
They instantly tried to contact Monika on her mobile phone but it was found switched off, Dorendro said and added, then the couple went to nearby parks in search of the girl but all their efforts proved futile.
As they got into their house after breaking the lock, the couple came to know that Monika left her mobile phone on her bed.
She had also deleted all the call records before she went out of the house, Dorendro added.
Apart from informing the matter to him (Dorendro), the couple had also filed a missing report under DD No 61-B in a nearby police station in Delhi on June 29 .
However, whereabouts of the girl is still untraceable.
Dorendro appealed the general public to help him trace the missing girl.
