Ivalley Talks motivate youths

Aimed at motivating and inspiring youths of the State to pursue career of their desire for attaining success in life, 'Ivalley Talks 2014', an interaction programme, was organized by Ivalley, a youth forum and platform for sharing inspiring ideas and concepts, with Hueiyen Lanpao as its media partner at Hotel Imphal here today.
The event was attended by several distinguished personalities from different fields including Kishalay Bhattacharjee, journalist & author; Kamesh Salam, founder of South Asian Bamboo Foundation; Robert Naorem, celebrity stylist & designer; Dr Shantikumar Meetei, Mr World 2013 INBA; Niranjan Lairenjam, social entrepreneur; Guru Rewben Mashangva, folk singer; Limaben Jamir, Imitator NEI Model United Nations and few others.

Interacting with the youths, Kamesh Salam exuded confidence that Manipur could promote handicrafts and bamboo products as there is great demand for eco-friendly products and appealing handicraft items are sought by other States and countries.
He pointed out that well made indigenous products could facilitate the economy of the State if there is better connectivity with other States and urged the Government to pay special attention in this regard.
Robert Naorem exhorted the youths to pursue whatever profession they take up with passion as this will take them a long way.
He also mentioned that fashion is a lucrative career option today and it is fast booming in Manipur as well.
Other personalities also shared their success stories and hurdles they had gone through in achieving their goals with the participants.
A photo exhibition by Manipur Photography Club was also held as part of the well-attended programme.
