RB sacked from NCP top post

Radhabinod Koijam, who has been the President of state unit Nationalist Congress party (NCP), for a long time was sacked from his post by National President of the party Sharad Pawar on June 21 and an ad-hoc committee with MLA Laisom Ibomcha as President was constituted the following day.
Addressing a press meet at his residence, MLA Laisom Ibomcha informed that he was called by NCP National President Sharad Pawar on June 21 in New Delhi and informed about the decision of the party high command.
He was also told to support Pranab Mukherjee in the ensuing Presidential polls.
Following the official confirmation, the state committee of NCP was dissolved on June 22 and an ad-hoc committee with himself as President was formed, MLA Ibomcha disclosed, adding that the names of other office bearers would be announced within 15 days from the date of forming the ad-hoc committee.
Clarifying that he had never pleaded National leaders to appoint him as the leader of state unit party, MLA Ibomcha conveyed that the National leaders of party are unhappiness over Radhabinod contesting in the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly elections in his own style and misusing party funds.
They are also against the announcement of Radhabinod to support PA Sangma in the Presidential elections.
With regard to his conspicuous absence from attending.
the foundation day of party held at the party office at Thangmeiband some time earlier, MLA Ibomcha said that he had intentionally refrain from attending the function as the organisers failed to include the name of the lone MLA of NCP (him) in the invitation card.
Many members who contested in the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly elections on NCP ticket were also present during the press meet.
