Condolences pour in for N Dingko Singh

Tributes and condolences poured in from various individuals and organisations for the Boxing legend and Padma Shri Awardee Ngangom Dingko Singh who passed away yesterday.
A condolence meeting to condole the demise of N Dingko Singh was held at the residence of Kh Ibomcha, member of BJP State Council at Nongada organised by BJP Lamlai Mandal.
A Jamini, chairperson of Lamlai Kendra Covid Awareness and Enforcement Committee, M Ningthem, pradhan of Takhel Gram Panchayat, E Amitkumar, convenor of COVID-19 Second Wave Fighting Task Force BJP Lamlai Mandal and L Shyam, general secretary of BJP Lamlai attended the condolence meeting among others.
Floral tributes were paid to the photo of N Dingko singh and two minute silence was observed as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
The countless contributions of N Dingko in the field of sports was recalled by the attendees' and also extended their condolence to the bereaved family.
All India Youth Federation (AIYF) in a statement mourned the demise of N Dingko Singh and said that he was an inspiration and motivated many youths to develop interest in the field of boxing.
AIYF continued that following his footsteps, the State has been able to produce many renowned boxers who have brought laurels to the country and said that his demise is an irreparable loss for the whole country.
Communist Party of India, Lamlai Local Council, United Front Manipur, Geographic Innovation Society Manipur and Villages Community Progressive Committee also expressed profound grief at the untimely demise of the renowned boxer N Dingko Singh and prayed for the peace of the departed soul and also shared the grief and loss of the bereaved family.
