MKS organises COVID-19 mass vaccination advocacy campaign

Senapati, July 12 2021:
The Maram Students' Union (MKS) carried out its second phase of Covid-19 mass vaccination at Maram Khullen, which is the biggest and oldest village among the Maram today.
During the campaign, Bosco Kashung MKS, president appealed to the villagers to vaccinate themselves and not to fall into misleading claims shared about Covid vaccine while highlighting the importance of timely vaccination.
Dr Kasung Albert, Medical Officer, ADC Senapati enlightened the gathering about the present status of COVID-19 Pandemic and its impacts.
Dr Ngouniba Peter, DIO Senapati urged the people to follow Covid appropriate behaviours including wearing face masks, using hand sanitizers and maintaining social distancing while adding that vaccination is the only way and permanent solution to combat Covid-19.Mahesh Chaudhary, DC Senapati also interacted with the villagers and encouraged them to come forward for Covid vaccination.
The DC in his maiden visit to the historical & traditional village gave away 50 kg rice each to two individuals who came for the vaccination through a Lucky draw.
The awareness campaign participated by all the village leaders, headman, GBs, chairman, secretary, women president, youth leaders was chaired by K Kuba, president of Maram Khullen Students Union (MKSU).
MKS office further extended their sincere gratitude to social worker Abraham Plantina of Lairouching village and DC Senapati for their service and concern for the people.
