LMG extends help to Yanglem Kollup
a locality deprived of voting rights for over 30 years

Like Minded Group (LMG) Manipur donated essential items and 25 kgs office each to eyery household of Yanglem Kollup at Samurou Awang Leikai.
Residents of Yanglem Kollup which have around 22 households and 100 residents have been deprived of voting rights since the past 30 years and is situated between Langthabal AC and Wangoi AC, said Rakesh Naorem, publicity secretary of LMG Manipur in a press release.
A team led by president of LMG L Kunjeshore Sharma, advisor Wangkhemcha Shyamjai and Sobita Mongjam handed oyer the items to households of Yanglem Kollup.
Secretary of LMG, Sorokhaibam Ojit said that residents of Yanglem Kollup have been deprived of the benefits of various Government schemes like CMHT Card, Old Age Pension, rice share under NFSA, housing schemes etc apart from the deprivation of voting rights and the residents are in a deplorable condition adding more woes to their problems by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Therefore LMG took up the initiative to extend help to the Yanglem Kollup in order to provide some relief to them amid the difficult times.
A resident named Yanglem Shakhitombi said that the residents of the said locality have not received any aids from the Government ever since the outbreak of COVED-19 pandemic till date and the residents have been impacted badly by the pandemic and are going through a rough phase.
She extended profound gratitude to Like Minded Group for their noble gesture during this difficult phase.
