Manipur's Nat Sankirtan culture is something one cannot buy with any amount of money.
The general public should also extend all possible cooperation in promoting Nat Sankirtan culture.
It is essential to highlight before the whole world that Manipur has a distinctive culture and tradition.
By then, Manipur would receive greater respects and recognition from the international comity of Nations.
In order to ensure that Manipur occupies a more prominent place at the international level, the culture and heritage of Nat Sankirtan should be promoted and further refined, Gaikhangam stated.
Loss of social discipline and traditions is one factor for the growing hill-valley divide.
In order to restore unity among the people of the hills and the valley, it is crucial to rejuvenate common traditions.
At the end of his speech, the Deputy Chief Minister donated a sum of Rs one lakh to the academy.
Keishamthong A/C MLA Laisom Ibomcha too donated Rs 50,000 to the academy.
Later, renowned Nat Sankirtan artiste L Ibomcha was felicitated by presenting a turban, a memento and cash award of Rs 15,000 .
