Imphal, October 07 2014:
Asserting that non-implementation of ROP 2010 has caused immense hardship to teachers of Govt aided elementary schools in the hill areas, the All Manipur Hills Govt Aided Elementary School Teachers' Association has appealed to the Chief Minister, Education Minister and other officials concerned to take up sympathetic action to end their grievances.
The teachers' association in a press statement said the ROP 1999 granted to the employees of aided schools is outdated and hence the revised ROP 2010 needs to be extended to them too.
It warned that the 'unfair treatment' to aided schools' employees might prompt them to launch various forms of agitation in collaboration with students' and civil bodies unless the revised ROP 2010 is extended to aided school teachers.
