Imphal, January 02 2021:
The Naga People's Front express it's resentment over the Central Government order of extension of the Disturbed Area Act to the whole of Nagaland for another six months.
During this crucial period of negotiation and talks to the vexed Naga Political problem and when the Naga public seriously hoping for the final solution, the Central Government order has came as a shocked as to how much the Central Government is keen and sincere in bringing the Naga issue to conclusion.
With the Government asserted to conclude the Naga peace process, the Naga people was hopeful for positive result but yet again, the Central Government declaring the whole of Nagaland state as disturb is totally uncalled for.
The NPF reminded the Central Government that imposition of the Act only shows the insincerity on the part of the Central Government.
Therefore, the NPF strongly urge upon the Central Government to reconsider it's stand and revoke the Act and exhibit its sincerity and expedite for a speedy conclusion to the vexed Naga political problem.
Meanwhile, the NPF wishes the Naga people a prosperous New Year 2021 and had the hope that with the stepping into a new year, a sense of love, care and prosperity prevail among our society and people.
