The peoples� united Liberation Front (Pulf) has alleged that due to anti-party activities and use/sale of narcotic substances capital punishment was given to Md Firoze s/o Md Tahir Ali of Lilong yangbi on December 25.A statement issued by Pulf commanding officer Bashir Lashkar claimed that Firoze along with an accomplice identified as Md Nasir alias Atomba of Lilong Awang Leikai misused arms provided to him (Firoze) to extort money from two persons of Dharamshala in connivance with a non-Manipuri named as Ashok.
Posing as party activist Firoze and Nasir, who was a former member of Pulf, extorted Rs 8,60,000 and ornaments, it said.
For personal reason Firoze also used an AK-57 rifle to shoot at the leg of one Md Salam�s daughter living at Lilong Yangbi on December 11, charged Bashir while also alleging that Lilong area public had made several complaints of Firoze consuming and selling narcotics substances.
Contending that taking into account anti-party activities of Firoze that had maligned the image of the outfit the death penalty was given, the commanding officer also asked Nasir to surrender to the party within January 5 failing which his entire family would have to face Firoze�s fate.
