Imphal, July 28:
Even as NSCN-IM general secretary Th Muivah arrived in Bangkok this morning from Amsterdam for another round of dialogue, the cease-fire between the GOI and the NSCN-IM is likely to break down.
The NSCN-IMs MIP sources told NNN today that leaders of the outfit based in the North-East India are now dispersed at various strategic points as the break-down of the ongoing peace process between the GOI and the NSCN-IM is becoming more and more imminent.
However, a separate source from some top brass of the NSCN-IM informed Newmai News Network that things would become clear in a couple of days time.
The current term of the cease-fire between the GOI and the NSCN-IM ends on July-31 which is only three days away from now.
The outfits MIP Deputy Kilonser Kraibo Chawang said that the NSCN-IMs Home Ministry directives to all the NSCN-IM rank and files and its cadres to disperse themselves at the "strategic points" was issued as a pre-emptive measure in the event of cease-fire pact breaking down.
The MIP Deputy Kilonser also said that unless the new Indias UPA Government reviews its Common Minimum Programme (CMP) where one of the points stated that "the existing States boundaries would not be disturbed", the NSCN-IM is ready to go back to the jungles.
Kraibo Chawang has blamed Congress veterans like Rishang Keishing, Nagalands SC Jamir, Arunachal Pradesh Mikut Mithi and Assams Tarun Gagoi as one of the factors for the present hiccup of the "Naga Peace process".
Reports of middle rank NSCN-IM leaders moving out of Dimapur have been received." Fare-well parties are the common seen of Dimapur among near and dear ones for the last few days", said a kilonser.
Top women cadres of the NSCN-IM were the first batch to move out of Dimapur to various unknown destinations, according to the reports received.
