Members of the Manorama death inquiry commission today visited and thoroughly examined the spot at Yaipharok village where the body of 32 year old Manorama was found on July 11 morning.
Headed by C Upendra Singh, Retd District and Sessions Judge, the inquiry panel also visited the family of the deceased girl at Bamon Kampu Leikai.
Officer in charge of Irilbung PS who is the investigating officer of the FIR registered in connection with Manorama's murder, during the spot study, told the panel members that other than two to three blood droplets no blood stain was found in and around the spot.
The IO also informed that no empty cases or projectiles were found.
However a pair of slippers presumably worn by the victim was recovered from the area.
Five AR vehicles, two trucks and three Gypsys were seen parked when they visited the spot at around 7.30 am on July 11 after being informed about the death of the girl by AR authorities, the IO said adding that one of the AR Gypsys had no number plate.
One Manipuri speaking AR officer was present in one of the Gypsys, the police officer said.
The Commission while recording the statement of the police officer also measured the area where the AR vehicles were parked.
Interacting with the panel members during the visit, Yaipharok villagers told the panel that they heard 6/7 gun shot sounds at about 5.30 am on July 11 and added that the AR personnel also prevented them from venturing out from the village in the morning after the firing.
Some army vehicles were also seen near the spot where Manorama's body was found, added the villagers.
The panel members also visited Khumanlei, mother of Manorama, but unfortunately she was not able to give her statement as she was under medical treatment.
