MoRTH sanctions Rs 5 crore more

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has sanctioned another Rs five crore for ordinary repairing of National Highway sections which are under the care of the State PWD.
According to information received from MoRTH, sanc -tion order for the amount was issued on August 31 by the Director, MoRTH (O&M and IT) .
The sanction order said that the sum of Rs 3.23 crore sanctioned on July 8 this year has been raised to Rs 8.23 crore for ordinary repairing of National Highway sections which are under the care of the State PWD.
Notably, a sum of Rs 3.23 crore was already sanctioned for ordinary repairing of National Highway sections from Yaingangpokpi to Churachandpur.
Mao to Imphal, Imphal to Moreh and Imphal to Oriental College.
In addition, another Rs 6.36crore was sanctioned for repairing National Highways which were damaged by floods.
Apart from the aggregate amount of Rs 8.23 crore for ordinary repairing and Rs 6.36 crore for repairing flood damaged roads, another Rs 5.77.29.500 was deposited with the PWD for filling in road sides dug up for laying underground telecommunication cable along Imphal-Moreh section.
As such, a total amount of Rs 18.36.29.500 would be at the disposal of the State PWD.
