SATTE to start from Jan 29 Indian tourism pavilion to focus on NE States

South Asian Tour and Travel Exchange (SATTE) 2015 will be hosting its 22nd edition from January 29 to 31, 2015 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The event will be spread over 17,500 square metres and will feature over 650 exhibitors with a target to increase participation to over 50 countries.
Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has been participating in SATTE over the years with an aim to highlight destinations that have potentials for development especially, North Eastern region.
Ministry of Tourism will open the Indian Tourism Pavilion at the three-day event with a space of 136 square metre to focus on the States of North East and Jammu and Kashmir for highlighting its rich tourism potential.
Ministry of Tourism has arranged to provide free space at the Indian Tourism Pavilion for participation to all NE States and Jammu and Kashmir.
The Ministry has written letters to all NE States and J&K for their confirmation to participate at the grand tourism event.
SATTE 2015 is expecting participation from new players such as Italy, Cambodia, Russia, Greece, Fujairah, Bahrain and Sharjah, among others.
SATTE 2015 has recorded registration from 115 foreign buyers from over 40 countries and 452 Indian buyers from 48 cities of India.
The 2014 edition recorded a participation of over 640 exhibitors from 35 countries, 23 Indian States, airlines, DMCs, hotels and the entire gamut of travel, tourism and hospitality suppliers showcasing their products.
SATTE is the largest and most established in-bound travel trade fair in India, said a source from the Ministry of Tourism.
