Imphal, February 13:
Sticking to its resolution passed recently, the Thadou Students' Association (TSA) Education Committee has decided to impose stricter rules in the forthcoming examinations of HSLC and HSSLC in view of the need to inculcate quality education in every student by stopping them from unhealthy indulgence like, copying, unfair means and impersonation.
TSA inspection teams will frisk the candidates to ensure that they don't carry any unfair notes inside the examination hall and check the admit cards to compare their identification, said a release issued by the Education secretary, TSA Manipur, Haominlal Kipgen today.
The student body has also urged all the OCs to to dispense with their duties diligently during the examination in their respective examination centres and warned that if any sort of unfair means is detected then CO concerned would be held resposible and action taken up.
Expressing serious concern over the career of students, the student body also appealed to the department concerned to ensure sufficient supply of power when students start preparing for the forthcoming exams so that they can devote more hours to their studies.
Expressing regret over the insufficient supply of kerosene in the hill areas especially in Sadar Hills district, TSA has called upon the department concerned to look into the matter in the interest of the students community in particular and the people in general.
