Japhou Bazaar Authority imposes restriction in Japhou Bazaar

Japhou Bazaar Authority, in a statement informed that in view of reports received by the association of miscreants causing public nuisance in the area, additional restrictions have been imposed within the Japhou Bazaar jurisdiction and its vicinity.
The association stated that amidst the declaration of Japhou Bazaar as containment zone by an order of the Deputy Commissioner Chandel and the enforcement, of night curfew due to the spike in COVID-19 positive cases, the association received complaints on the matter and to prevent such recurrence in the future the restrictions have been necesr sitated.
The restrictions are as follows:
No person is allowed to sit and consume alcohol or abuse drugs/substance in shaded and secluded pockets within the radius of the town and its fringe area having important public structure;
Noise pollution is restricted after 6.30 pm as it poses health concerns to senior citizens and children;
One must avoid illegal activities such as gambling and gathering or loitering of people during the night;
Playing loud music during odd hours in the night is strictly prohibited;
Tenant staying in rented rooms shall come under the purview of rules and regulations enforced in the area;
No tenant(s) should venture out from their rented rooms and indulge in any activity after 8 pm;
Landlords/landlady should conduct routine checks on their tenants of any nefarious activity.
In case of illicit behaviour by the tenant leading to any untoward incident, the landlord/landlady shall be held accountable.
The Japhou Bazaar Authority mentioned that the restrictions are an obligation to both residents and nonresidents wherever it applies to avoid any legal implications while adding that noncompliance of the restrictions would be liable for legal action.
The Japhou Bazaar Authority further advised the home owners to ask for police verification and check the background of the tenants prior to renting out rooms or leasing their residential properties.
