Imphal, July 04 2022: Mega Manipur School, Yaralpat has launched its 5-day residential summer camp from Sunday, with school director Soibam Ratankumar inaugurating the camp by releasing balloons.

The camp being attended by 80 students from Class VIII-XII is aimed at providing a platform for several extra-curricular activities and interaction with resource persons.

Speaking in this regard, director Ratankumar highlighted that students need to gain knowledge from books as well as from extra-curricular activities so as to keep the mind and body healthy.

As such, the camp will have several outdoor activities including horse riding, thang-ta, archery and fencing, he said, adding that music class, dance class, theater class and Korean language will also be taught during the camp.

A platform for interaction with resource persons and officers on duty in the field will also be provided to motivate and develop field skills among the students so as to help them in making their right career choices and be responsible citizens of the society, Ratankumar said.
