TA & Hills Minister warns PDS agents against rice misappropriation

TA & Hills Minister Letpao Haokip has cautioned all the Food & Civil Supply, PDS agents that there would be no second warning if they do not distribute the rice allocated for the public fairly.
Letpao Haokip made the statement during the inaugural function of Model Anganwadi building at T Yangnom village, Moreh.
Expressing his anguish over the cases of misappropriation of rice allocated for the poor people by PDS agents, the Minister stated such PDS agents would be replaced immediately.
He announced that the GI sheets distributed under TA & Hills Department would now be printed with the unique identification numbers.

He also mentioned that each MLA would be made to keep records for the GI sheets distributed to the public and would be penalised for any form of discrepancies.
In regards to the ILP system, the Minister stated that if the ILP system is not implemented in the State, the unchecked and unregulated flow of migrants will put the identity, culture and future of the indigenous people at stake.
