Imphal, July 16 2021: ADGP (Intelligence) has instructed SPs of every district to monitor all posts/ uploads/comments posted on all social media to ascertain any unlawful content and communal posts that could harm the integrity of other people or communities.

ADGP instructed the SPs to strictly monitor posts on various social media in all dialects of Manipur that could have detrimental effect on law and order.

Prompt actions should be initiated by the SP concerned whenever required, the officer said, while adding that every district should establish social media monitoring cell for effective monitoring.

Technical assistance will be provided to the cell whenever required.

Further, the district social media monitoring cell should check National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal for taking prompt necessary action and a report of action taken should be submitted with a copy on 3rd and 18th of every month, the ADGP said in his message to the SPs.
