MASTEC plans discourse on climate change, Math lecture series

Imphal, March 14 2023: Manipur Science and Technology Council (MASTEC), Imphal and Vigyan Prasar, New Delhi in association with Khu man Maheikol, Mayang Imphal, Imphal West district; Bethany Christian Higher Secondary School, Churachandpur district and Modern Higher Secondary School, Bishnupur district will organise '3-day Training Workshop cum Nature Camps on Understanding Dynamics of Nature and Climate Change' for the students of the three districts.

In a notification, MASTEC director Dr L Minaketan Singh conveyed that the workshop will be held at Khuman Maheikol for Imphal West district from March 28 to 30; at Bethany Christian Higher Secondary School for Churachandpur district from April 4 to 6 and at Modern Higher Secondary School for Bishnupur district from April 10 to 12.Interested schools from the districts concerned may nominate five students from class VII-X to the MASTEC director through email - mastec@nic.

in or to the principals of the said schools.

The number of participants will be limited to 30 students (five students each from six schools) and selection of participants will be made on first come first served basis, it added.

On the other-hand, MASTEC, Imphal will organise Mathematics Lecture Series in schools of Manipur including hill districts as continuing activity of National Mathematics Day 2022 Celebration with an objective to make students aware of 'Importance of Mathematics in Day to Day Life' .

In a notification, director Dr L Minaketan informed that principals/headmasters of schools can submit application on letterhead to the MASTEC office or email to [email protected] latest by March 20.As the number of lectures is limited, the same will be delivered at the schools on first come first served basis of submission of application.
