"Customers not happy with functioning of PNB"

The leisurely banking service provided by the staff of Punjab National Bank (PNB), Mini Secretariat Branch, Ukhrul has left many of its customers in despair.
This correspondent while interacting with some of the customers who were standing in a queue waiting for transactions expressed their banking ordeal at PNB, Mini Secretariat Branch.
A customer, Aning, who came from Nungou village for his Account correction, shared that he arrived at the bank around 10:30am.He mentioned that he joined the queue and waited for more than 5 hours to complete the correction of his Bank pass book.
Another PNB customer from Marem village expressed his disappointment over the poor customer service provided by the bank staff.
The customer claimed that he wasted the whole day just to get a new Bank pass book and update his mobile phone number.
While Angam from Ukhrul stated that there is no Help Desk, one has to wait for the long queue to get into the counter.
"It takes at least 3-4 hours just to enquire about their problems", he asserted.
The customers urged the higher authority to look into the grievances at the earliest in order to ensure worthy services to the people of Ukhrul.
