MLA Brojen conferred literary award

Thoubal, September 28 2021: Khorirol San-doklup Wangjing on Tuesday conferred the "Khorirol Thougatloi Athoiba" to Wangjing-Tentha AC MLA Paonam Brojen during a prize distribution function organised at its premises in Wangjing Wangkhei.

As part of the function, "Suvakumar Lifetime Literary Award" was presented to author Salam Tomba, while "Khorilup BestBook of The Year" was awarded to Saikhom Chaoba for his book, "Krishna PandavSak-khngnaba"; "Dr Soibam Kumar Ningsing Sahitya Mana" to "Manipuri Khorirol da Nat ki Saktam" published by Progressive Writers' Association, Manipur, and "Priyosakhi Ningsing Sahitya Mana" to Mutum Ramani (Leichingi Inna-phi) and Promila Thokchom (Eshwori) .

Meanwhile, Dr Sanasam Nabadweep was presented the "Sambanduram Nandakishore Handokloi Mana" for translation of Mulk Raj Anand's "Untouchable" into Meeteilon script under the title of "Sokna-heidraba sing"; "Tekcham Kamini Kush Loidang Ningsing Khorirol Mana" to Saroj Khan "Hingna Siraba Punsi" and Khorirol Sandoklup member A Ibohal Luwang ''Khumanda Imoinu".

Each of the award include cash prize, citation and honorary stole (leng-yan) .

The function was attended by MLA Paonam Brojen, Khorirol Sandoklup president Tongbram Babulal and SAYOKA Tentha president and Ningol Khut Manipur president Kh Gunamani Leima as presidium members.
