SUM director stresses on diligence of NFHS investigators

Centre for Market Research and Social Development Pvt Ltd (CMRSD) organised mapping and listing activity training for the first phase of sixth round of National Family Health Survey (NFHS) at DSSS, Mantripukhri on Tuesday.
Speaking as chief guest of the programme, State Health Mission director Dr N Somorjit stressed the need for collecting correct and valid data by those assigned to conduct the survey.
While observing that status of healthcare sector in the state will depend on the survey to be conducted by the investigators, he advised all concerned to ensure proper compilation of relevant data and without any bias.
Presided over by CMRSD executive director Dr Manmath Kumar Mohanty, the programme was attended by local community leaders, civil society organisations, and representatives of International Institute for Population Sciences (UPS) and CMRSD among others.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare appointed Mumbai-based UPS as nodal agency for coordination and technical guidance in NFHS-6 and UPS selected CMRSD New Delhi as field agency for collecting data from Manipur and Nagaland.
In the first phase of field-work, mapping and listing activities of households of selected sample villages and urban blocks will be done.
