KISG condemns police firing

Kuki Inpi, Saikul Gamkai (KISG) has strongly condemned the indiscriminate firing on K Somrei villagers by Thoubal police commandos deployed at ABCI camp, on December 27 during Christmas social gathering injuring four persons.
Thangkam Lupheng, president, Kuki Inpi, Saikul Gamkai (KISG) in a statement today condemned the firing in the strongest term and remarked that such weak-willed acts by men in uniform are considered to be the highest level of abuse of civilian rights.
�We strongly condemn the reckless indiscriminate firing at K Somrei village in Saikul Assembly Constituency by intoxicated police commandos severely injuring four including a mother and her son�, said the KISG president.
He also said that the Kuki Inpi, Saikul Gamkai endorses and supports the demands of the JAC formed in connection with the incident and urged the State Government to fulfill the JAC's demands at the earliest and bring justice to the injured victims.
KISG also affirmed that it will endorse and support the JAC in its movement in bringing justice to the victims while urging the State Government to take corrective measures so as to ensure that such inhumane activities never recur in the constituency.
