Imphal, March 06 2013:
Volunteers of All Manipur AntiDrug Association (AMADA) today tried to storm the State Assembly which is currently on session demanding befitting punishment to drug traffickers.
A large number of AMADA volunteers marched towards Assembly complex from Thangmeiband and Chingmeirong sides at around 11 am.
The demonstrators shouted slogans and held placards and banners that read as 'punish drug traffickers, 'interrogate Henry and Tarpon on airport drug haul', 'step down Chief Minister and Home Minister if drug owners are not identified' .

However, police blocked the agitators before they could reach Assembly complex.
Later, the demonstrators burnt the effigies of Chief Minister O Ibobi and Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam Home Minister at Chingmeirong.
