CCSK's Entrepreneurs Meet concludes

The two-day Entrepreneurs Meet organised by Committee of Civil Societies Kangleipak (CCSK) at Indian Medical Association (IMA) hall, Lamphel under the theme 'Growth of Entrepreneurship in Manipur: Problems & Prospects' concluded on Saturday.
On the first day of the meet attended by around 150 participants, ICM Kolkata director Dr K I Meetei spoke on 'Role of entrepreneurs in the economic development of state', UNACCO chairman and managing director N Irabanta Singh on 'People management', Renu Handloom secretary Renu Arambam on 'Problems of Manipur's handloom & handicraft product export', Shija Hospitals & Research Institute Private Limited chairman and managing director Dr Kh Palin on 'Importance of private hospital in health care system in Manipur' and Manipur University MBA (Finance & Marketing) N Babulin on 'Challenges and contribution of private educational institutions in Manipur" .
On Saturday, Babina Group chairman and managing director Dr Th Dhabali delivered lecture on 'Tourism & hospitality' while North East Development Financial Institute Imphal manager Priyobratta Gurumayum spoke on 'Importance of financial literacy & banking in entrepreneurship', Siroy Financial Consultancy Private Limited managing director Puyam Surchand Singh on 'Importance of foreign trade & currency exchange', J&S Ventures Private Limited director Jotin Thokchom on 'Role of Chambers Of Commerce in trade and commerce' and Manipur Oxygen Plant Private Limited managing director Khagemba Sanabam on 'Entrepreneurs and public relationship' .
Speaking in connection with the discourse, CCSK president Jeetendra Ningombam pointed out that in view of globalisation it is very important to protect the state's communities and local economy from being marginalised by cash rich multinational companies.
Considering this, the meet has been organised to encourage entrepreneurship in the people of the state to create self-employment and improve the economy of the state, he added.
Jeetendra also stressed on the need for the people of Manipur to be wary about Act East Policy and the imminent arrival of train service in the state.
Instead of working under non-locals, the indigenes should provide job opportunities to the state's natives, he said.
