AR extends medical aid

Imphal, January 23 2022:
44 Assam Rifles of 22 sector/IGAR (East) in collaboration with Public Health Centre, T Waichong Sub Division of Kangpokpi district organised a free Medical cum Health Awareness Camp in Naga Tapon village of Kangpokpi district.
The day-long medical camp "Swasthya Shivir" was aimed to provide basic health care facilities and free medicines to the residents of remote areas where medical facilities are not easily available, an AR release said.
The battalion's medical team along with Dr Arif, MO in-charge, Public Health Centre, T Waichong examined patients from various age groups and distributed free general medicines to the local villagers of Naga Tapon and nearby villages.
A total of 150 persons were benefited during the camp.
The medical team also distributed sanitizers, masks and spread Covid awareness through various posters and cut-outs, the release further said.
