Poll committee for ex-UCM chief constituted

Election Campaign Committee for former United Committee Manipur (UCM) president Yumnam Nabachandra, who is preparing to contest the upcoming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election from Wangkhem assembly constituency, has been formed during a meeting held on Sunday.
the meeting attended by people from 39 polling stations of Wangkhem assembly constituency also appointed Mutum Kesho as president of the committee and Soibam Shyam Singh as secretary while Md Tomba would be joint secretary, Medi Hassan, Pebam Nimai and Th Joykumar as media & publicity secretaries, Ashem Keshokumar Singh as advisor and Samandram Gopal Singh and Kh Amutombi Singh as finance secretaries.
Apart from this, 56 people have been made functionaries of the committee.
The meeting held at the Kiyam Siphai Khong Ahanbi residence of Nabachandra was attended by Md Rahimuddin, Md Nazir Ahamed, Md Mubarak from Phoudel, Asem Tunal from Charangpat, H Bikramjit from Icham Khunou, L Tomba and Samadram Gopel from Haokha Maning, Yumlembam Sharat from Babu Bazar, Mutum Kesho from Khundongbam Leikai, Okram Manglem from Kshetrimayum Leikai, Kshetrimayum Achou and Longjam Ibobi from Kiyam Heibong Leirak as presidium members.
While addressing the gathering, Yumnam Nabachandra expressed that he would emerge victorious in the coming election with the blessing of people from different localities of the AC.
While predicting that he would win the election by a margin of more than 20,000 votes from his nearest rival if the BJP ticket is allotted to him, Nabachandra also claimed that he is certain to represent Wangkhem AC in the legislative assembly regardless of getting BJP ticket or not.
He further appealed people of the constituency to work collectively.
