Apna Dal (S) to field candidates in 30 ACs

Apna Dal (Sonelal) Manipur Pradesh president Konthoujam Manoranjan has said that the party will fight the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election from at least 30 assembly constituencies.
He was attending a felicitation function hosted in his honour following his appointment as state president of the party at Konjeng Langpoklakpam Leikai community hall in Naoriya Pakhanglakpa assembly constituency on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering, Manoranjan said that the party would be fielding candidates in at least 30 assembly constituencies in both hills and valley subsequent for discussion on poll strategies with national leaders.
He further said that there will be certain pre-conditions for allotting party ticket.
For instance, the applicant for party ticket should have a minimum educational qualification of graduate.
However, the condition will be relaxed for ex-MLAs, incumbent MLAs and other renowned social workers, he said.
Manoranjan also said that AP (S) leader Anupriya Pa-tel would be visiting Imphal soon and during her visit, the union minister for commerce and industries is likely to announce several projects for the state.
As an alliance partner of NDA, the party is committed to bringing peace, development and corruption free state.
It also aims to groom sincere and committed leaders for a better future, he said while seeking public support to the party in the forthcoming state assembly election.
