Thoubal, July 12 2021: AMMOCOC, Thoubal Municipal Council and Covid-19 Task Force Phouden under the aegis of district administration, Thoubal and Wangkhem MLA K Meghachandra organised a mass vaccination camp at Jannaja hall of Phouden Maning Leikai in Thoubal district on Monday.

Along with the vaccination camp, an awareness programme was also conducted at the vaccination site which was attended by MLA K Meghachandra, Jamiatul Ulama Manipur president Moulana Sayeed Ahamed, AMMOCOC president SM Jalal Sheikh and TMC executive officer Haobam Pradeep as presidium members.

Moulana Sayeed Ahamed, who had the first shot of Covid-19 vaccine as an act of encouraging the local residents to get the vaccine shots without hesitancy, said that the vaccine has been produced after extensive research by scientists and there is nothing to fear.

Stating that Islamic Shariat also allows vaccination, he called upon the residents to get vaccinated and contribute their mite in the ongoing fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
