AMUCO celebrates foundation day

Imphal, February 12 2015 :
All Manipur Clubs Organization (AMUCO) celebrated its 22nd foundation day at Mission Compound, Kwakeithel on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, AMUCO President Dr Mani Khuman stressed on external threats posed to existence of indigenous communities.
He said the time has come to analyse the present state of affairs with assistance from learned individuals.
Khuman also pointed out that approximately 35 different indigenous communities have been cohabiting in Manipur for a long time.

He said the feeling of unity and oneness among the communities will contribute to the development of Manipur and strengthen bond of love between different communities.
AMUCO has been working tirelessly for the advancement of hills and valley since its inception observed KT Rahaman, former AMUCO president.
The foundation day celebration was graced by former president KH Mani; R Yangsangsong Koireng, Pholendro Konsam, chairman Community on Human Rights (CHR) as presidium members and attended by other public figures.
As a part of the celebration, floral tributes were offered to former members who passed away.
